ATE 2016 Eligibility Criteria- Candidates can check the qualifications needed to be eligible to appear for the GATE 2016 Exam. Only candidates who meet the GATE 2016 Eligibility Criteria will be allowed to appear for the GATE 2016 exam. Candidates need to remember that they will have to upload the necessary certificates to support their eligibility as specified.

Before starting the application process, the candidate must ensure that he/she meets the eligibility criteria of GATE 2016 given in the following table:

NOTE: If a candidate is pursuing any higher degree or already obtained a degree higher than that mentioned in the above table, then the candidate can select the relevant minimum required qualifying degree while filling the Gate 2016 application form.

In case a candidate has passed one of the qualifying examinations as mentioned above in 2016 or earlier, he/she has to submit the degree certificate / provisional certificate / course completion certificate / professional certificate / membership certificate issued by the society or institute. In case, the candidate is expected to complete one of the qualifying criteria in 2016 or later as mentioned above, he/she has to submit a certificate from Principal or a copy of marks card for section A of AMIE.

Candidates who have to submit a certificate from their college Principal, as determined from above Table, have to obtain one from his/her institution beforehand and upload the same during the online submission of the application form.

Candidates with backlogs

Candidates who have appeared in the final semester/year exam in 2016, but with a backlog (arrears/failed subjects) in any of the papers in their qualifying degree should

1. submit a copy of any one of the marks sheets of the final year,
OR
2. have to obtain a declaration from their Principal along with the signature and seal beforehand and upload the same during the online submission of the application form

Once you start preparing you will need books for your preparation and you can get it online or from nearer book stores. 

What you need to know is the best book for your subject as I have mentioned above you can appear for only one subject so choose it carefully and whatever subject you may appear GA is the common paper for every subject. Refer various books for different subjects of different authors and give your best to the preparation of GATE exam 2016.

Not only books, try to attend some coaching and get proper training for GATE. There is lots of coaching centers open for training of GATE with experienced faculties. Attend the best one in your locality because in those coaching centers you will get proper guidance for your preparations.

Attending coaching center will be a better option than self preparation and will get you much better score in GATE. It’s a dream for engineering, Technology and other science students to crack GATE and with the passage of time it is becoming more and tougher so try to crack it in first chance.
