Hello friends, Staff Selection commission conduct the Stenographer exam. and the candidates who are preparing for the exam, we are providing you the syllabus to make your preparation better and have clear your doubts.

SSC Stenographer Syllabus And SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern 2016:
General Intelligence & Reasoning containing 50 questions:

Questions on both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc.

General Awareness containing 50 questions:
 Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions are very easy to attempt since they do not require a special study of any discipline. 

English Language & Comprehension containing 100 questions:
Testing of candidates understanding of the English Language as well as its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. candidate’s writing ability, would also be tested. The Paper will consist of Objective Type questions only.
The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except Part III.
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.

SSC Stenographer Selection Process 2016

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an Indian organization for the recruitment of staff for various vacant posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. SSC conducts the various written examination & personnel interviews also. On 4 November 1975 Government of India constituted a Commission called the Subordinate Services Commission. On 26 September 1977, Subordinate Services Commission renamed into Staff Selection Commission. The Staff Selection Commission has its headquarters at New Delhi. At present there are seven Regional Offices at Allahabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bangalore and two Sub-Regional Offices at Raipur and Chandigarh.
